Berkley Medical Excess Underwriters

Collin Suttie is Senior Vice President of Actuarial Services and Underwriting for Berkley Medical Excess Underwriters. In this capacity, he oversees the development of actuarial policies and procedure including loss cost development, pricing, loss ratio targets, reserving processes and software applications. His responsibilities also include implementation of underwriting protocols, new product development for our customers and targeted business classes.

Prior to joining BerkleyMed, Collin was with a large reinsurer. During his six years with the company, Collin led the development of risk analysis methodologies and product pricing of all healthcare segment lines and excess and treaty medical professional liability pricing. In addition, he worked within the claims department to improve the operational efficiency and results of that function. Prior to that, Collin was an Actuarial Consultant working on primary rate making and reserving for hospital and physician professional liability clients.
