Berkley Medical Excess Underwriters

Mike serves as the President for BerkleyMed Excess Underwriters. He provides the leadership and strategic direction for the organization.

Mike was most recently Chief Executive Officer, Midwest Employers Casualty Company (MECC). MECC is also a W.R. Berkley subsidiary, and it is rated “A” by A.M. Best. A founder of the company, Mike was responsible for the development of all elements of strategy and laid the foundation for MECC to be the premier provider of excess worker’s compensation in the industry. Prior to joining MECC, Mike spent seven years with a big six accounting firm as a Senior Manager within the Healthcare and Insurance specialty practices, providing both audit and business consulting services to these industries.
