Berkley Medical Excess Underwriters

Matt Fessler is Vice President of Claims for Berkley Medical Excess Underwriters. He serves dual roles as he directs the Claim operation and actively participates in Berkley’s underwriting of specialty health care business.

Prior to joining BerkleyMed, Matt was Head of Healthcare Claims for a large insurance company where he was responsible for the strategic, operational, and technical leadership of the organization. During Matt’s 25 years within the insurance industry, he has held various corporate and field positions within claims. Over that time, Matt developed expertise in oversight of high exposure litigation. Additionally, he has led the development and implementation of strategic initiatives.
