Using our technology and proprietary database, we generate a benchmarking report that compares your facility’s actual claims experience against industry and peer group data.  The analysis is then reviewed with our clients to develop strategies focused on risk cost reduction.  This analysis, coupled with our previous on-site claims and risk management reviews, provides you with an overall picture of your risk management program and the cost savings potential available.

The database that supports this report is the culmination of many years of data collection and development.  BerkleyMed now has an in-depth hospital professional liability claims database that includes over 400 healthcare delivery systems, representing approximately 2,200 hospitals across the country. 

Industry data in this detail cannot be purchased directly from any outside source such as a rating bureau or data collection agency.  It is purely the result of BerkleyMed’s internal efforts and capabilities.  Thus, the benchmark results in this report cannot be exactly reproduced by any entity other than BerkleyMed.  The database is continually updated to ensure that we possess and present the most recent information possible to our clients and brokers.
