Chesterfield, MO, June 27, 2011 - Berkley Medical Excess Underwriters (BerkleyMed) presented PinnacleHealth System of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania with a check for $350,000 in return premium in recognition of their favorable loss experience under a performance-based excess hospital professional liability program. This program was offered in recognition of the quality patient care that PinnacleHealth provides to the people of central Pennsylvania.
BerkleyMed offers an array of traditional and creative excess HPL structures to meet the unique needs of its self-insured clients. The performance-based program targets hospitals that exhibit excellent claims performance and patient outcomes to provide them with an option to adjust their program structure and receive premium refunds that ultimately lower their total cost of risk.
